Hi folks
Well we are about to start another journey to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Both Kelly and Kris play in the Greater Victoria Police Pipe Band and they will compete in Grade 4A at the Worlds this coming August.
Having played the pipes myself (for 14 years from 1981-1995) I had the chance to compete in 1994 at the World Championships with Edmonton's Big Rock Pipe Band. It was a great experience and one I will never forget. I will now relive the adventure from the sidelines as a helper of sorts.
With this blog, I will try to give family and friends a little insight to the goings on within the band and the lead up, competition and aftermath as we journey around the UK and beyond.
